For the most part I do stained glass work in the Fall and Winter. With the start of Fall, I purchased a new grinder in the studio recently. This is The Grinder from TechniGlass. It has a led light bar, wide eye shield, and a back splash that allows larger glass pieces to pass under. The grinder is fitted with a quick release bit system. I have used those for two grinding sessions so far and it is amazing. The grinder motor itself is very quiet. I was skeptical with the quick release grinding bit setup, but it works very well. Will have roughly 12 grinding sections on the bit as the bit is able to be flipped around. One hundred percent of the bit surface can be used.
Really only one problem with this grinder, but same as all others I have used, the splashing of water from the bit to the surrounding area. I think I will see about getting a plastic tub or similar to place the grinder in to contain the water splash.
